Exhaust/Intake/Springs

Ok, so I have a 2011 g37s coupe, graphite/graphite. I am about to order a R2C intake and am thinking about an exhaust system. Here are my requirements: Needs to be under $1K, no drone and not obnoxiously loud, and improves upon the stock sound. So far, I have heard that the invidia gemini would be my best best.

In addition to these two mods, I would like to reduce the gap in the front of the car. Which springs should I go with for a slight drop and better handling with a similar to stock ride? Was thinking eibach or Swift, but not sure of other options. Thanks.

Jon

The exhaust, I don't know. I think a lot of good systems are over $1k

The springs, Eibach and Swift are slight drops. I'm on Eibach right now and like it because it doesn't slam the G.

I see that you also have spacers, is there a need for them with this drop? What are the benefits of having spacers? Also, would I need the camber kit for the eibach springs?

You do not need spacers for Lowering your car. The only reason people run them is to bring the wheels more flush with the body. When you lower, your wheels have such a high offset that they naturally have a tucked in look that some dont like. Hence, they run spacers to bring them out flush with the fender more than without the spacers. Some people advise against spacers as they can break under some conditions and be unsafe. Id say if you are just daily driving and having some spirited driving, you would be fine with spacers. If you were racing, id advise you to get wheels with lower offsets

I just had my ARK grip put on my 08 Coupe S an hour ago and I'm very pleased. I had two compliments on the way home from strangers.

if i've done my research first before i started buying mods that will my g go faster, i would have gone with the 4.08 gears before intake & exhaust. i still don't have 4.08 but from what i'm reading about it is that its great to have. intake & exhaust are nice but then you'll need tuning.

I've got a local shop that specializes in gs and zs. Just ordered the intake. I will have them tune it at the same time they install the exhaust. Now I just need to pick an exhaust. Does anyone have anything negative to say about Invidia gemini? Its hard to tell in the sound clips, but it sounds similar to stock but louder.

I'm planning to get the fast intension full cb system. I heard a lot of good feedbacks about them. Go to their website or search the forum for the exhaust. Its a carbon fiber exhaust with the new y pipe..

You don't *need* a tune with just intakes and exhaust. The car will be just fine.

Def planning on getting a tune after installing intake and exhaust. Does anyone have any other suggestion on exhausts that are not too loud. Also, will not getting HFCs negate the gains on the exhaust?

I really want to keep the stock tone but want the performance gain from a cbe. Also, don't want to change the cats. Overall, I want to get an exhaust that is under 1k that sounds similar to stock, a little louder, and no drone or rasp. Once I get this done, I will be getting an uprev tune.

Why don't you talk to them (your shop buddys) about the exhaust? I am sure they have heard many exhaust systems and can answer you better than a bunch of people telling you what they are running. They may even be able to get you intouch with a previous customer so you can hear the exhaust in person which is what I HIGHLY recommend. Especially since you seem to be so picky. I am not saying thats a bad thing as it is a good thing.
