cobb tuning chip question

hey guys my friend has the cobb tuning chip for his 2008 manual g37. If i use his access port for my 2009 automatic
will it be allright? thanks guys

yes but you have to unmarry it from your friends car first.

You have to untune your car first, or he won't be able to tune his with it. It knows that it's been used on a vehicle already and won't let you just pass it around the country so that everyone gets a tune for one low price.

Got it, but he was telling me he already did a couple of his friends cars with it, he might of been bull****ing
