A more patient and meticulous buddy helped me install, which was good since as others have stated the directions leave too much to the imagination. Took a couple of hours, but now that I've done it could probably cut that time in half or better. After my friend left the check engine light was on and it was idling at 1100 rpm. I figured I needed to reset the ECU so I looked around until I found a procedure on this forum. It involved turning on the power and pumping the pedal 5 times, then holding the gas down or releasing, and then repeat with everything very specifically timed. The procedue had similar actions for resetting the gas pedal and then for resetting idle speed. Yikes! After a dozen nonproductive tries I finally got so frustrated I grabbed a wrench and took off the negative battery cable. Wham! Problem solved! Now she sweetly idles at 600. Sometimes giving in to your frustration does pay off.

^ Does that even need to be said?
Glad to hear you were successful with the install and thanks for posting your experiences.
So... Feel a difference? Sound good?

I do feel a difference. It seems there is a bit less hesistation when I hit it, although there is still lag waiting for the tranny to kick down. Mid range pull feels significantly stronger. Even when loafing around town there seems to be a smoother power delivery as if it isn't required to rev as high to get moving, but that may be my imagination. The sound is not intrusive at low revs, but when you put your foot down it is awesome, like it is sucking in hydrants, telephone poles, stray dogs, not just air and gas. I probably won't do exhaust mods, but I expect that in combination with some catbacks the sound would be fantastic.

My G is coming up on 18k miles and I figured I'd have to replace the stock air filters soon. Don't know what they cost but I figured since there are 2 it would be at least 40-50 bucks for the parts. Prompted me to take advantage of the group buy now to save that cost. Outside of the air flow sensors I don't think there is too much likely to go wrong that could hang up the warranty. Only burned a quarter tank so far, but I seem to be getting somewhat better mileage (maybe 1 to 2 MPG) when I can keep my foot under control. That is increasingly difficult though. The sound and rush of power could easily become addictive.
Hmmm im still contemplating on getting this or the stillen! So can you feel a difference on it when stepping on it. i know this intake has better response in the low RPM's compared to the stillen. Hows the MPG i wonder if you actually get better gas mileage if you watch your foot...?
fast idle
I'm still at 11-1200 at initial start up. Put in black betty grounding cables after r2c (neg cable disconnected) but still have fast idle but again only at initial start up. Any ideas?
