6MT grinding into 6th

6th grinds really bad when shifting from any gear other than 5th. I've played around with all sorts of different combinations of gears, RPMs and speeds and the result is the same. The clutch pedal will be on the floor, even tried double-clutching(you know FnF style lol) and it still grinds if not shifting from 5th. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Does it sound like a synchro has gone bad?

Yup synchros gone to crap.

This same thing happened to me when i had around 30K miles or so. Took the car into the dealership and they replaced the entire transmission/clutch/flywheel assembly under warranty.

Take her in man

Sounds like a synchro problem. My car is at the dealership right now for the 2nd gear grind.

i have about 35k on mine and when the car is cold it is alittle rough (feels like it grinds but I don't hear anything) going into 5th. I changed out the gear oil to amsoil no difference though. I should take it in soon I guess. Let us know what the dealer says about yours.

I had my whole trans/clutch/flywheel replaced when i bought my car too. It only had 22k miles. It seems like everyone on here has had their transmission replaced before or at 30K miles

you guys are scaring me.

I hope I don't have tranny issues when I get around 30k miles.

Hopefully I will be the lucky one to not have any issues for the life of the vehicle.
