My 5AT is holding up just fine. I have not yet installed the valve body upgrade but the Uprev tune included a transmission re-program that greatly reduced the shift time and keeps the tranny from slipping during shifting. It shifts extremely quickly and hard now, especially in S or Manual mode. I do have the Tranny cooler.

I have the Stillen SC on my 08 G37S auto. I have about 10k miles on the SC kit and not Valve body upgrades just tranny cooler. It runs great. Nice smooth shifts everytime

I guess if you get the Stillen kit you can leave your tranny alone... the GTM kit makes too much torque under the curve for the stock tanny to survive....

Seems like all the stillen fanboys are riding AT's LOL. Mike nailed it, that kit's TQ is way too weak to blow tranny's but good enough to blow engines haha.

If a shift kit is installed, you get faster, firmer shifts in DS mode instead of M mode (shift algorithms are different). So off the line, DS mode is better in terms of wear and tear on the AT.

No matter what you do, you can't go WOT off the line with FI unless you want your rear tires to disintegrate.

The replacement trans I have now is holding up fine I changed my driving habits and now down **** on the hiway when i want to have fun and make sure to shift onbly close to redline after 4th gear. Sam should have my trans rebuild and beefy sometime by the first of next month. Then I will but it to the test.
What are they gonna do to beef up your trans?

I've heard that there is a TCM re-program that will give quicker shifts in BOTH M and DS mode. Do you have any more info on this?

Uprev provides re-programming of the TCM. My tuner, Nick backed off a little from the recommended parameters as the shifting was really severe. These parameters were recommended by Uprev for FI applications and are set to allow minimal slipping during shifting. Nick thought it was too severe when he did the drivability testing and backed off a little Een after the adjustments he made it shifts very fast and hard now in DS and M. It will really snap your neck from 1-2 and 2-3 and is worlds different from the factory programming. In D, it shifts much more sedately and is much closer to the factory feel. I am assuming that there are different programs for D, DS and M or possibly for D and DS & M but I am not positive. I will talk to Nick when I get a chance and find out more information.

Not going to take the bait boys LOL! I am very happy with my setup and have had no problems to date. I am not even running 8 PSI (7.2 psi with a 9 psi pulley due to the altitude) and my AFR curve is very conservative (i.e. safe). I am sure I could get a bit more HP and TQ with a pulley swap and minor re-tuning (about 20 additional HP and 12 ft-lbs TQ at 8 psi by my calculations based on the gains from the baseline) but I am concentrating on brakes and suspension now. My car makes me happy and that is all I care about.

^ It's not the Stillen S/C Wei, you know it's their tunes that destroy motors. Dal was tuned a Mac I believe. His car is a prime example that the product may not be fault.. But the tuning may be Stillens downfall. I'm sure Dal will continue to keep us up to date with Stillen S/C experience. RCZ on the 370 forums is reportly not having issues with his Stillen S/C, but he's not running their canned tunes either.

Is the uprev TCM program available for NA? Or rather, does it improve the shifting if you don't have FI? I assume this is in the custom tune because the only stuff i got in my uprev Osiris tune is AFR...
Also, is the shift kit (i assume you mean the GTM/transgo ) worthwhile on an NA car (assuming it's got intake, exhaust, HFCs and catback) or there too little hp increase to make a difference?

It had nothing to do with the NA versus FI, it was the custom tune. It would definitely improve the shifting for a Naturally Aspirated car. I am sure that the shift kit is worth the price also. I plan to have one installed eventually. It is not really that expensive although I do not know what the installation cost would be. You can order it from GTM or possibly even direct from TransGo. There is a thread for a TT installation on a 2008 5AT that included the TransGo kit. I can't remember the name of the member but he actually did the installation himself in the shop where his install was being done.
