Exclamation Fuel Mix Up

Hey All -

Just joined....Also just purchased a 2011 G37x.

I've had the car for 4 months and have run nothing but premium fuel in the car. Today I let the wife drive it and she decided to get gas for me and in doing so she put in regular. Needless to say I wasnt to thrilled! Is this something I should worry about or will this one time occurance not hurt the car???

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Another factor in your favor is the early season. Cool weather decreases the need for octance slightly. Combined with diluting your premium fuel with 87 octane, you may notice some lack of performance and economy as the fuel burns off.

As long as it's not a constant occurance you'll be fine. Just make sure it doesn't happen again and again

You'll be fine, just don't rev the wee out of it until you can get better fuel in.

Lesson learned, just let the wife do the shopping and you take care of the fuel & you'll be fine, lol. At least she didn't fill it w/ diesel

And if you're really stressing over it, get a can of octane boost and put it in there.

Nope. You'd better hurry up and reassure him.

It's such not a big deal that it's not even worth making any big thing about it with the wife.
