Transmission Replaced

My transmission was replaced at the infiniti dealership because they said Fluid Burnt, Metal Shavings in Oil and Synchro was defective. So my question is how can i prevent it from happening again in the future. Why did they go bed at such a low mileage 41k. Do you think it will go bad again at 82k after the warranty expired? Btw i have 08 6 Speed.

Thanks

Thats crazy, i mean at least they replaced it, hopefully nothing goes wrong from here on in. Ive seen a few 6mt with 80k miles, none that seem to have any issues so hopefully it was a car specific thing.

What felt wrong with it before you took it in for inspection?

Yeah. When I think I have something going on with my syncros also. When I press the clutch in between 4-5k rpms in first I can here like a turbo spooling sound. Gonna stop by the dealer this week and see.

bought a brand new g37s 2010, i had my transmission replaced at 13,000miles. Since day one upon starting the engine i heard like a whip cracking noise on the first 2 crank revolutions. Then when turning the engine off, i heard a clunking noise the last 2-3 crank revolutions. all of that kinda threw me off, but wasnt really enough to cause a huge concern.

then when in idle, id hear a rattle noise- not like anything with an exhaust, or a heat shield- but inside the bell-housing of the tranny. brought it back multiple times to the dealer and was told this is a "typical g37 noise." Now i knew better... this was either a throw-out bearing/input shaft bearing or a clutch issue.
LONG STORY SHORT- the noise got louder and louder on idle, and started appearing around 1,000rpm to 1,900rpm when accelerating. became annoying and loud and embarrassing.
i brought i back few more times. they changed the fluids, they did the 2009 ECU remap, etc- even changed the shift ****. all the time im telling them they are wasting my time, and dealership time- ITS THE TRANNY!

after opening a consumer affairs report, finally someone at the dealer test drove a similar car like mine with similar miles and called me and told me that car didnt make this noise and they are ordering me a new tranny. (said they dont fix or work on tranny's- just replace them)

now, i have a new tranny, and no noise. - they never told me what it was exactly.
