Engine cover foam pad

Engine cover foam pad

I just noticed a small piece of foam is sticking out on the passenger side of the engine cover. It is a square piece of black foam and appears to be on the side of the engine cover. Nothing on the driver side.

Is this normal? Others have this too? Please see attached pictures.
