Is the clutch replaced with transmission?

My CPO 08 G37S had the tranny replaced by the dealership at 27k miles before they released it for sale. Is the clutch typically replaced at the same time?

Why were you guys having 6MT issues so early??? And I would go ahead and have a new clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate put in while the tranny is out anyway.

Uh, no they're not. They're 2 separate parts of the car.

OP - not necessarily.

Geeezzz, read his post. The trans was r&r'd before he purchased the car. To answer the question, you think they put one more dime in it than they had too? Not happening, if the clutch looked okay - it went back in IF they even checked it!

in my case, yes (in my G35). when my gearbox was replaced, Infiniti used an updated version and so a new clutch disc was included in the box with the new gearbox.
