Your absolutely right, people on these forums may take my words the wrong way. I rephrased my comment.
I agree the Stillen sound just wasn't for me, but when i said stock exhaust i meant the g37 coupe stock exhaust.
The stock exhaust for the sedan was very upsetting. I mean for good sakes i think a Prius that passed by me had better rumble then my massive v6 lol (exaggeration) Regardless, the sound the coupe and FX get is the tone i wanted to achieve just louder. As you can see i'm still trying to achieve it.
Would you mind hooking a brother up with some links?? lol
I have fast intentions cbe with hfc's. Love the sound my g makes. Since you are familiar with FI why not keep it uniform? You already know the quality work Tony puts in. FI all the way!!! Lol. IMO of course.
Here's a link to the R2c intakes. The best short ram system available for our car IMO. IF you're after sound, these are definitely the ones to get!

And the ERZ HFCs... they are actually on one of the 370z forums. But they fit just fine on the G37. I have them for my 2010 xS 7AT sedan.

You might even want to consider their resonated test pipes, since you don't have to worry about emissions.
Here's my car on the dyno with ERZ HFC/Stillen Gen 3/FI catback:

Forgot to turn VDC/traction off (oops!)... And that was before I removed the 0-60 throttle restriction with the Hypertech tuner.

Regrettably i still have to worry about emissions (im in NY)
(Well that is if i find the right guy to pay off)
My only issues with test pipes where the smell and the rasp if they didnt have those 2 variables i would get them.. no smell and no rasp = HFC.. right?
And i noticed you mentioned something about a tuner, how did that work out? Was it necessary because of all the extra air the engine was getting?
I guess you need HFCs then, if those are acceptable in NY.
They were raspy with the stock exhaust but when I installed the FI later on, the rasp disappeared. But if you really listen closely during the winter, you hear just a tiny bit. Nothing to be worried about IMO.
The Hypertech is a little handheld unit with a canned tune from the company. You can install the power adding tune, remove the 0-60 throttle restriction, raise the rev/top speed limits. I don't have any plans for a full custome tune, so this was the next best option. Really wakes the car up!
Search Hypertech on here and you will find a bunch of threads.

+1,000,000,000 for Tony and his customer service. He is the best guy to deal with regarding exhausts, period. Even long after you've had yours installed--even more so if the issue doesn't concern Fast Intentions--he is still there to help you out. If anyone values customers service and truthfulness, there is no one better than Tony at FI.
... Speaking from personal experience.
