Are you talking about in the MT or AT? MT is very easy to do, there are DIY's for it in the stickies of that forum. I just did them again. It's about as easy as changing your engine oil

I'm talking about AT. 30,000 seems early for a fluid change is this normal for a g37?

Sorry, I can't comment on the AT as I have an MT and it's easy to do it myself.

be concerned about a flush (under pressure) as opposed to a fluid exchange (no pressure). the act of flushing can actually do more harm than good. Probbly ok for a newish car but not on a car that hasn't been done for a awhile

It's worth mentioning that the Service & Maintenance Manual only recommends changing differential fluid under the "Premium" service schedule or when "towing a trailer, using a camper or car–top carrier, or driving on rough or muddy roads". Otherwise, the only recommended action is to inspect the fluid, even under Schedule 1 maintenance (which accounts for short-trip, stop & go driving). Regarding "Premium" maintenance, Infiniti's very own disclaimer is:

"Premium Maintenance is an Infiniti-recommended option; however, you need not perform such maintenance in order to maintain the warranties which come with your Infiniti."

Is yours a 5AT or 7AT? 7AT should not be changed but a 5AT can. I did mine recently and got it done with synthetic for 200, not from the dealer though. The fluid was definatly dirty and could use the change. Have had no problems driving afterwards at all.

True. The manual specifically states there's no need for the AT

Thanks for the replies. Went to dealer today and questioned them about the trans fluid change at 30,000 they said that was for an 08 I have a 09 and also that was for premium service. I did the wiper blades ,cabin filter, air filters myself. Diff and wheel alignment were for the premium plan also. I just let the dealer do the oil & tire rotation. If I would have done the recommended premium plan service that would have been close to 700.00, me and my wallet feel better now.

I just quickly thumbed through the manual and I dont see it saying anywhere that anything has to be done with the 7AT. Anyone else have any info on this?

Beshoff Infiniti | San Jose, CA - New and Used Infiniti's in San Jose | New & Used Car Dealer
The first sentence states that it doesn't need to be done. I'm not expert but this does not make any sense to me at all. A car can have the same fluid in its system for the life of the car without ever changing it?
