Could be the battery... They are prone to suck. I had to just replace mine last week. It could also be the alternator but that isn't very likely. If you have a lot of mileage on the car it could also be the spark plugs beginning to foul out.

Sparks plugs. Does anyone really have enough miles on an '08 for this to be issue? I have been under the impression we should be able to get 100K(+) out of them if there are not a lot of mods. Am I off base thinking this (would be par for the course for me).

That would be the general consensus, but with vehicles there always can be issues. I have less then 32k on my car and my battery died for good and wouldn't hold a charge. Wouldn't you think you would get 60k+ miles out of it before actually having to replace it?

That's what warranties are for... to fix issues when certain things break / need to be replaced at low mileage.

Ok just over 22,000 miles still have plenty of warranty, cranks, no start, stop and try again and it starts, or it will start and feel like its going to stall... I'll just take it in ,, thanks

I had the same problem and they still have my car at the dealership. They replaced the battery, valve, and now fuel pump but still no luck.

I'm really curious what your dealer said...I had the exact same problem where the engine fires up just fine (no cranking), but dies almost instantly after. Dealer said my battery was weak, but I'm still having the problem after I got a new battery. I've got an 08 with 55k miles on it.
