smoke/steam from engine?

So it has been raining hard for like 3 days straight in S. Cal and tonight, after driving in heavy rain on the freeway, i noticed what it looks like smoke or steam coming out from the grill for about 3 minutes after I parked. No warning lights, temp gauge was normal, and didn't smell funny. I'm hoping it was just steam from water on something hot. I didn't notice this the past 3 days, just this time. What do y'all think?

I think if you got some rain splatter on the headers or intake, it just became steam.

Just steam. It'll do it after a car wash too if the weather is cold enough. Mine's been doing it for about 4 years now.

Same thing

Noticed the same thing today here in rainy vancouver.

Haven't owned the vehicle for long.

Thankfully it appeared to be dissipating as steam instead of turning into a cloud of smoke around me.

not worried atm.

Though the undercover to block most road debris and water, sometimes some water can get splashed onto a hot engine component where it will then make steam. I wouldnt worry about it to much. The other day it was really cold and humid and i freaked out because i thought i saw smoke coming out from my grill....i then realized it was the exhaust from the car in front of me lol
