How does your engine rpm response when you floor in 4th @ 80 mph?

Greetings:

I am curious to know if anyone here have tried to floor when you are in 4th gear(DS mode, manual shift) @ 80mph with your 09 G37 7AT or later. Does your engine quickly rev up toward redline or progressively and slowly rev up toward redline as you keep the gaz pedal on the floor?

Your input is greatly appreciated.

I'll have to get back to you on that. But I do know that when I have the cruise on at 105 mph in D and I floor it . . .

BTW, what RPM at 80 in fourth? If you don't respond in the next 10 minutes, I'll have to research the issue.

I have an '09 too, and I can cruise up to 90. Definitely not 105 though.

Yeah the cruise cuts off at 90.

If you are in 4th going 80 and floor it, it SHOULD rev very quickly. But since you have the nasty auto it probably is super slow to respond. One more reason the 6 MT is so much better. Instant response FTMFW

The 7spd auto in DS - manual mode is actually very responsive, almost feels like the instant responsive of a manual trans. If you're in regular D or just DS (not manual) then there is some lag because it has to downshift, but if you're locked in a particular gear like 3rd/4th it has great response.
