Alright,

Definitely concerned. Dipstick has bubbles on it; it's definitely not water. Running Redline 5W30. Thoughts anyone? I didn't tighten the oil filter very tightly, but to the point of resistance. Is this another "normal" thing for the G?

How much oil did you put in? What does the level read on the dipstick?

 

hm...everyone seems to be asking me that? lol
i put in the required about via the manual, and then some to bring the levels half way between L and H on the dipstick. did i do something wrong...???

 

Technically I think the filter is supposed to be tightened to the point of resistance plus 2/3rds of a turn. But I seriously doubt that's your problem. Was this just once or does it show every time you take out the dipstick?

 

How long did you let it sit before checking the oil? Was it really hot when you checked it?
