I need a tune?
Hey whats the best tune for a g37x with fujita dual intake and a tanabe axle back exhaust system? i am looking for the best gains and a performance shop in my area which is Long Island.
there's not really a "best tune" unless you are talking about where to go. Most performance shops use UpRev software to crack the ECU, but the actual quality of the tune depends 100% on the person doing the tuning.
Tuning is an aquired skill and is as much art as science, so make sure whoever you take it to has tuned Infiniti/Nissan's before and really knows what they are doing.

^^^ I couldnt agree more.
Take sam@GTM for an example (Your my test dummy sam, im sorry). His skill in tuning nissans/infiniti's are incredible. People drive from out of state to have their cars tuned by him. Also taking trips to Dubai to tune cars over there.
There are alot of good tuners out there just got to take the time to find the one you feel can do the job.

OP also remember there is nothing wrong with going to a shop and asking the tuner what their credentials are/how many cars they've tuned/etc and even watching them tune another car (if you happen to be there at the right time)
They are going to be changing your car's brain essentially so take the time to make sure you get the right person. Equate it to looking for a brain surgeon, you would talk to different people and make sure the Dr. knew what he was doing right?

well I have the Stillen Gen3 CAI, Berk HFC, and ARK Grip Exhaust and after the tune gained ~16 WHP and 15 WTQ.
So yes, if your tuner knows what they are doing, they can squeeze some significant power out of it.

how much whp and wtq did you gain from the setup alone without the tune?
I'm not sure, I didn't do a bone stock dyno. But it was in desperate need of a tune because the AFR was way out of whack among other things
Same here... went to SpecialtyZ and I did not have to purchase the software for the tune... just let my tuner do his thing using UpRev.. Also my A/F ratio was pretty off too after the bolt ons causing the car to be sluggish on the low end.. I gained about 18 whp midrange and smoothed out my power curve.
If you are planning on doing any other future bolt ons such as HFC or TP, I would wait until then to avoid having to retune.
