Oil Cooler Installed

total time took about 2 1/2 hours. here's some pic's from start to finished. enjoy!

first i installed the oil cooler on the car.

then i cut some holes and run the hoses through

after that drain your oil and remove your oil filter. then install the sandwich plate. it took me a bit to jiggle with the hoses to clear all obstacles on the frame then i used some foam insulation to wrap up the hoses to protect it from rubbing against metal. finally got it on!

end results.

thanks for looking.

Where did you buy the oil cooler from? How many degrees did your oil temp drop on average?

How do you drain the fluid in the cooler when you go for an oil change?

got it from
Amplifiedmotorsports.

i'm not sure how many degrees it drop since i don't have a oil temp gauge yet. well, i just bought the oil temp sensor for the hks camp2 but it's far too complicated just to get that installed. waiting for my oil pan spacer to come in so i can tap it there to get the readings. i'll let you know soon.

Good work. How much oil did you have to add to fill the lines and cooler?

very close to 8qts. it's gonna cost an arm and a leg each oil change now lol. it might be 8 1/2 after the oil pan spacer.

check out my dyno sheet and video if you have not seen yet.

Why not a dual remote oil bypass? Amsoil part BK23?

Get cooling and awesome filtration.

Filtration was not the issue, the high oil temperatures these engines can produce was.

cooling abilities will require some ECU modding... you're gonna hit 275 degrees fast
