Damn, so you're actually going to do it! Sweet! They should give you the M56S as a loaner.

I've been monitoring the Stillen Supercharger since March, after buying my G37xS in Feb.

It's been a long wait.

I'm looking forward to hearing some results. Anyone know if a VQ37 vehicle with supercharger has been provided to a magazine for testing? Or has a date been given for same?

Brian, how do you guys approach the warranty issues? Is it a total void or just the engine components? Please elaborate on the costs of the total operation, out the door. I am very impressed with your dealership and the ways you try to maintain excitement about our cars, hats off, Greg.

They'll still cover everything as long it's not the SC related

Ya, I salute people who had the grapes to be early adopters with the supercharger, but as much as I have been looking forward to the release, and accompanying fanfare I wanted to wait until a few people had installed it so I could hear feedback. I also chatted with a guy at Stillen and he said they're not doing their own testing wrt performance (0-60, qtr mile etc) but would lend a vehicle to magazines to do their own independent testing. Guy said he figured with possible additional upgrades could see 1 second off 0-60 time... so I'm guessing 5.7 - 4.7 And of course it will have considerably more power at higher speeds.

I have a sedan, which I think is a little behind re availability/shipping

What has been the general consensus of people on this site that have had the VQ37 stillen supercharger installed? From pictures it looks like the fit is very good. Have people used Infiniti/Nissan to install? Thx

That all depends on where you go and your relationship with the dealership.

If you keep up to date with all services and talk to your service tech on a reg basis they will let you know the truth, and that it as long as its not sc related they will fix it.

The problem is some places are lazy and don't want to do the work to find out if it is sc related or not.

Many dealers now install the stillen kit, so those dealers are generally the ones that will help you through warranty issues.

I will have to agree with AMNVQ on this one. If the dealer decides to fix something under "warranty" on a vehicle fitted with an aftermarket supercharger, then they'd be doing it out of goodwill, and I'm almost 100% the warranty claim request form they send to Infiniti HQ will have zero mention of that supercharger.

They are not required to say anything unless the problem comes directly from the presence of the aftermarket equipment.

For example, you could not have them fix your MAF sensor because its in the aftermarket piping. But they would fix your water pump or AC if it broke as examples

From: Framingham Ma,
I guess you missed my whole thread . My car went boom( Stillen SC)
I took it back the the dealer that installed it and was told NO DICE. The dealer puts the install on your service history and IFS can see it . Any engine issues , tranny issues and you are SLO. No matter what. I had documenton stating it wouldn't void my warranty and INF Still said no.
