Can 7At handle FI?

I was wondering what your alls opinion is on the 7at on the G37. Do you feel that the auto can handle FI (Supercharger) The wife is really wanting me to get an auto but if the auto cant hold up then its definitely out. Please let me know your opinions.

Shouldnt let the wife decide. Either way if you go auto a trans cooler should do you just fine.

Up to an extent, yes. If you want less headache (from both FI and the wife) get an MT

I wish the decision was all mine but to keep a sane household and also I work on our xterra some as well and if it goes down she may need to drive it. We are not a 3 car family yet. I know about the valve body and tranny cooler as I gave helped someone turbo a auto max. I just didn't k ow how well the tranny will hold up to gtm stage 1 s/c. Also are there shift probs with the tranny hen f/I as in whn floored and it's shifting will it hit the rev limited during the shift or any other shift problems. I don't want to force induce and spend money on valve body and Tran cooler just to have to replace the tranny after 30k miles.

I wouldn't do FI to an Auto. In the event 7AT fails, you are in for a nightmare, where a 6MT would be more forgiving.

Yeah, I kinda of figured that but I hear other people running twin turbos on Fi without any problems, but I pretty sure there are not that many as well

You would just need to be modest on the boost with 7AT.

From the GTM supercharger thread, the 7AT in the G is the same as the one that's in the FX50... So it should be good if you don't plan on going way overboard. It should handle State 0/1 no problem.

Obviously you really have no choice.
Unless you want to teach your wife stick.
(I had the same situation, I took the auto)
people on here that aren't married, have no clue.
You can't just tell your spouse to go take a hike, Unless you want a divorce.
Im running FI with 5 a/t no issues.
And if it blows so what, ill man up and fix it.
Besides 6 speed is a major hassle & why bother for a .10 of a second faster, please.
Most of the time you are not gonna be racing around.
Auto will do just fine.

Yeah, I think you'd be fine. Not like you will be tracking this car every weekend?

North burbs here.

I think Stillen's test car is an auto? They'd know if the 7AT wasn't up to it. With FI, I'm thinking the shift points will come up fast too.... might be nice to just stomp on it, forget the tack, and spend some quality time looking in the rear view mirror. :-)

Well to start with, why would you get a car, and make it put down 500whp then hand it over to your wife? (unless you really want to get rid of your wife lol)
