Another thing that I think about is that the Rotex is unproven and never used before. Vortech has alot of background and testing. The new V3 is internally lubericated as well and super easy to maintain.
Longtime Porsche tuner RUF uses them, too.
Long-time Honda tuner Oscar Jackson of Jackson Racing/Kraftwerks uses the Rotrex in all his current kits: www.jacksonracing.com

whosurbuddiee has it right though...he knows actually what i would look for as far as looks in the engine bay....tough choice...but i need to make one soon
To me the GTM and Stillen are very close and I dont think you can really go wrong with either. I love the look of the GTM pipes, but I love you can see the charger on the Stillen kit. And their manifold design is pretty unique, also see alot of potential with it.
Stillen does have a much much bigger R&D department and ability do produce parts that are out of GTMs leauge. But GTM has proven themselves time and time again on here with their abilities and products.

Stillen may have money..but their reputation, despite what you may think...is poor with the 350Z community. Just go read some of the old 350Z forums about the old Stillen superchargers...or even some of the information on the Titan supercharger.
I personally don't care about reputation as much as I do other things...a lot of people's perceptions are too easily swayed based on opinion. You've seen Stillen's R&D department and seen GTMs? And I would take issue with the second part of your comment too, it's just pure unfactual opinion...how the hell can you prove that Stillen makes parts that are out of GTMs league? What does that even mean?

I'm also interested to know if anyone has seen information about being able to put an FSTB over their system?
I like how some guys call others "Stillen fanboys" when clearly they are nothing but GTM fanboys. Great way to ruin a thread.
So, I've been watching the progress of all of the kits for as long as I can remember. If I lived anywhere near GTM I'd probably go GTM TT. If I decided a SC was what I'd want to do and I lived near GTM, I'd probably go GTM. Since I'm in the middle of nowhere, both SC systems look equally as good. There is no way I can make a decision off of their dyno charts. I have to wait until there are some kits on some vehicles and then see some independant dynos. I want to hear from the end user on drivability.
I don't understand the "stealth look" under the hood. Do you show everyone your engine everywhere you go? When you are at a car show and you want to show everything off, do you not want people to know you have a SC? How about just not opening the hood?

If it wasn't for the fact of where my car is...I could say I'm in the same boat as you, but since I'm not...there would understandably be some bias thoughts regarding my opinions.
I think both systems are producing "good" stats. My only irritation is with how information gets skewed.
If you want to make a decision on looks...well that is a matter of opinion and only yours matters.
If you want to make a decision based on price...well that's pretty simple to figure out without the help of anyone.
If you want to make a decision based on upgradeability...that's not really possible at this point.
If you want to make a decision based on performance...that's where things get shady and unfortunately because of some of the stuff people have been reading, they could be misinformed. That's pretty much all I've been trying to convey to people. The jury is still out on which one has better numbers.
These press releases are a marketing tool to get sales...I would have absolutely nothing to say about Stillen if they would have posted numbers with no CBE, and at the very least provided that kind of information in their release.
I would have nothing to say about Stillen if they didn't make posts saying "Hey we made more horsepower with less boost!" when they wouldn't even provide their original boost number in the first place...how can you say you increased horsepower with less boost in a public forum without providing the freakin' boost numbers?? Marketing...that's how...
I'd call out GTM too if they were doing the same thing.
It's mostly for me when I open my own hood. I like the clean OEM look. Not really a fan of the cluttered area by the intake manifold or the big Stillen label on top of it. Also, although this hasn't happened with my G yet (knock on wood), I've had to open my hood on my previous cars for cops MANY times. Fortunately for me, the officers I dealt with had no idea what they were looking at since the turbo system on my 2000 Celica was pretty damn subtle and the JDM Prelude motor I had on my 92 Civic looked like a regular Honda motor.
I don't like to go by info on these "press releases". To do things right in my mind, you should also include transmission cooler, oil cooler, and whatever upgrade that is necessary for the transmission. In my mind, that is the overall cost. Not to mention any other fuel system upgrades, cooling system upgrades, gauges, tuning hardware and what not. The "basic" system just isn't going to do it for me and truth be told, most others are in the same boat. So, in their press release, price may include a huge asterisk. And then there is their in-house dyno numbers... I don't want to get started on that.

I want the best kit for a daily driver and longevity for the best price. Stillen has showed a lot of R&D where as GTM has not posted as much.
Stillen / GTM both get +1 for looks (my opinion)
GTM gets +1 for price
Stillen gets +1 for R&D
which means for me they are a tie and now it will be the price of install. GTM says 12-14 hours and stillen says 10-12 hours. Which means stillen my cost less for labor over GTM which may make the final cost of each kit the same
