I have a delay in manual mode on upshifts only - hit the rev limiter a few times because I didn't shift early enough. Downshifts on the other hand are pretty quick, no real delay.

Just learn to drive the car. If you know it takes 2-3 seconds, shift 2-3 seconds sooner.

This has to be the dumbest post ever. You're going to get flamed.

How does the grounding kit solve this problem?

have no idea but i can shift exactly at redline and it does not bog the car down and shifts very quickly to next gear

Try the grounding kit. If that doesn't work then you need to look at Transgo's valvebody upgrade. Check GTMs site for installed pricing or just to buy the kit.

No it's not. It's the truth. A grounding kit won't do a darn thing. I have one.

I agree about the grounding kits. I had one on my other car and it didn't really do anything - great placebo effect and a lighter wallet. Might be a good mod for a very old car with crappy grounds, but that's about it.

It seemed to help my Accord *when I had a massive stereo system*, but nothing drivetrain related.

I noticed slightly less lighting dim during low bass hits with the grounding kit installed (I made my own, pretty easy with stuff from AutoZone/Pep Boys)

Well i guess my tranny, install of wires, and car is just over all better than urs

granted i didnt shift at red line...its cuz holding iphone, steering and shifting is hard

I know this is for 5AT but the lag was horrible like the 7AT i've driven and it helped a lot.

YouTube - IMG_0421.MOV

so take ur placebo effect and shoveeeee it :P

2/3 seconds for down-shift sound awfully slow. On my car my down-shift take about a about a second but the up-shift do take about 2 seconds. Seriously the down-shifts on my car feel pretty quick, almost instantly.
