A "CHIP" aka "tune" wont do much unless you have High flow cats or an Intake atleast.

Try checking out Cobb tuning.

please don't ever buy a computer chip for your G, or any car. there is no chip out there that will increase your gas mileage or give you better WHP or anything like they advertise. save your money and get an actual mod

I think he means an on-board measurement tool. Like the ones you stick onto the windshield with suction cups and they draw energy from the cigarette lighter port. It's name escapes me. It's on the tip of my tongue and it's irking me.

I got a tune by Superchips. This is the only available shop here in Taiwan for chip tuning the G. When I had Berk HFC and rest stocks, my 0-60 went to 5.87. I will be testing it again sometimes next week with my new Ark exhaust.

I can't say the chip adds HP like it advertised. However, I can say that the transmission is much smoother and the throttle responds better. Chip tune is actually a reflash to the ECU. Our car has electronically controlled throttle. So, the reflash will allow the throttle to be fully open from low to high RPM where as the stock ECU set up only allows about 70~85% (not exactly sure the %) throttle open at low RPM. That's why I could get a faster 0-60 time.

Chip tuning or N/A cars like our G doesn't make TOO much difference. But, if you decide to go FI for your car, you must have the ECU tuned.

The G-Tech will give you current performance data. As far as a chip to increase HP, there isn't really one for NA cars. You're gonna have to mod the old fasioned way.

I think I saw a video on iTunes that allows you to view performance and ECU data via your iPhone. You need to purchase the app and also a transmitter that provides the info wirelessly from your car to your iPhone. Let me see if I can find it...
