So i was doing a little spirited driving today and my CEL started flashing does anyone know what that means?

BTW My CELS always on due to hfc but has never flashed before. I have an 08 g37s 6mt with jwt intake, FI HFC and magnaflow exhaust.

any help would be appreaciated. thanks in advance.

 

Flashing usually indicates that the issue needs immediate attention, and is more than emissions related (as in take your car to the dealer right away).

The CEL on (not blinking) indicates an emissions related issue, but not critical....

 

oh no do you think i will have a problem with warranty taking it in with the bolt on parts stated above?

 

btw it flashed breifly and now it is solid again like usual

 

So I had a feeling there was a problem with my high flow cats because it had a funny rattle so I took it to a shop to get it checked out and the cone filters inside shrunk and were just moving around. Is this a normal occurence for hfc?I'm gettin them cut out right now and turned into testpipes so I can drive. It deffinately looks like they would interupt the flow of the exhaust I will post pictures when I get home and pm Tony about this
