When i took it to the workshop and dropped the engine out, I couldn't believe my eyes!!!! the whole thing is ****ed up

Parts list:

1-GTM HR 350Z (TURN KEY) TWIN TURBO KIT STAGE 1
2-GTM SPEC 3" DOWNPIPES re-circulating TYPE
3-OS GIKEN HR QUAD PLATE 4-CLUTCH
Greddy Turbo Ti-C Cat-Back

the tune was GTM REFLASH included from GTM with the kit.

Until now we don't know what was the problem but Sam and I are exchanging phone calls and emails to analysis what went wrong.

Welcome to the party:

And what used to be a piston:gotowned:

The heads are fixable and will cost ~$1200 and will order the Stage 1 short block for a VQ35HR from Kyle@IPP next week.

Welcome to the wonderful world of FI. I went through the same when my shiet blew, engine turned off, power steering gone, everything was quiet and my whole motor wouldnt even crank, smoke came out and oil dropped from under neath, it was like UH OH. But I want to know what is going on also with this, cause the HR motor is very strong.

Seems like I found out what the problem may have been. G37sam put dynamite in the engine.

Bad tune?? Or the stock ECU was trying to fight the reflash?? Could be anything.

For me tho, I would never use reflash for FI. I'll only go with stand alone even if it mean more $.

When you spend a few grand putting FI together, you want to do it the right way... not half azz way.

The tune was an out-of-the box GTM REFLASH included from GTM with the kit. He was pushing roughly ~440-460whp 8.5 psi. Its amazing to see how the piston blew right through the block and shattered into a millions pieces like that. Hopefully we can learn from this persons misfortune.

If the piston flat out blew out, then the crank or connecting rod was not strong enough. The picture of the piston itself doesn't show signs of detonation, and the cylinder wall is not shown (which I assume to mean that it is not scored). The op has already done some work, and would have mentioned if the plugs were melted.

This leads me to the previous conclusion.

Of course, this can change, but this is based on the current information available.

Seems like the OP was one of the guys that actually makes use of his TT setup rather than just brag about it online and in meets... 8.5psi on a VQ35HR is a lot in his case!

Watching that just hurts, safe builds FTW!
