they need to stop wasting money on junkbox 350z R&D projects and put that money into figuring out how to make everything work with the VQ37VHR ..

At this point, I can't really blame Cobb for not giving the ability of changing cam timing. In the hands of amateur tuners that aren't certified to work on VQ engines the outcome could be very devastating to your wallet.

Even UpRev stated they don't know if they're going to release a way to adjust timings anytime soon since it's never been done before and no one knows the limits to the head of these engines.

Would a manufacture really want their name out there if uneducated tuners started blowing up engines because they were pushed too hard? None the less though, I added Cobb's thread to my bookmarks because I can't wait to see their reply to chamelieon's post LOL

It's not a matter of won't. It's a matter of can't.

+10000 to Mike's powerful post

You really think these people did it but don't want to release it so one doesn't blow his engine up? I find that really hard to believe.

They would've at least released some sort of limited production concept tuner and test it on their VQ37, only then they can claim the "can but don't want"

Interesting. Will the shops provide before/after dynos, or are we supposed to use our "butt dyno" to measure the results? Plano is about a 5 hour drive for me...

Nice! I truly respect the fact that they are trying to do this, not all companies will go this far to promote and thats fact, and with knowing that, dont touch my car still! I have to take it to a local cobb authorized tuner correct? WHO, I dont trust any Cobb Tuners around my area, here goes, I think they're all idiots ahahahaha I cant even trust socal uprev tuners, they ain't even tuning it full on anyways, they'll be on the phone and computer with cobb emailing back and forth files trying to see if both sides agree with the tune. A real tuner will forget all that and start from scratch and do it on his own, aka Sam@GTM, why you think when he tunes your car he wont even call it UpRev, he calls it GTM CUSTOM ECU FLASH. Same with Tadashi and his very own Technosquare flash. Cause other tuners still be doing the emailing back and forth while tuning, not only that, they do so many tunes they just upload maps they used already and tweek it from there, saves time, saves money.
