wtf? engine check light

had any problem till about 41k now 08 sport
i was stressed out so turned the volume to the max and listen to the music for about 1 hour. i don't know it caused it but i think it's from that time. engine check light on, and rpm used to be at 900 but it raises by itself to 1100 and goes down to 900~950 and idk somethings been changed. idle sound is kinda different than before

any idea? or service?

And you're worried about CEL? I'd be worried about myself bro

Good luck getting it resolved, I'll say what everyone else will.. take it to the dealer

Try an ECU reset maybe?

i don't think electronics will affect the CEL... just take it to the dealership and see what they say... do you have any aftermarket mods? HFC's?

Take it to the dealer and have them pull the code(s). Is the car drivable or does it drive any different than it did before the service light came on? I hope you don't have a VVEL issue.

Are you seriously contributing the CEL to turning on your music to the max?

Simple solution, take it to dealer and get a loaner. Let them handle the issue(s) as I'm assuming you're still under warranty...

If you don't have a code reader, take it to an auto parts store first and have them check the code. Then take it to the dealership and tell them what code it's throwing.

Your G was probably just annoyed that you had to blast the music at full volume and started protesting.

If you were stressed out, wouldn't loud music aggravate it?

when i was normal, listening to musics at half of max volume or not even 1/3 of it because i like to hear the sound of my car. =) but at that time, full volume wasnt' enough to overcome my feeling.

Running the stereo for that long at 1.21 gigawatts will do it every time. It's in the manual, page 1042
