Yeah, you're right on that one. I might try that later. This shouldn't be that hard of a question.

The throttle bodies are not a restriction.

OK .. I think we are both curious to know what is going on in what you call the "upper manifold". I bet Modme would know since he had to drill his out in two places for his TT project:

He would have to clear the shavings out somehow.

I have a feeling it is just one big chamber though because folks with the DE motors wanted to increase the internal volume of theirs by adding spacers.

larger throttle bodies are the way to go.
from when i had on my stang, it was a huge diff in power. The 5.0 only has 225hp stock so, there was alot to gain by switching around a few parts(no one did tuning)
I had (high flowgt40 cylinder heads),(high flow exhaust)(stock cats gutted out)(Pulleys (65mm throttle body)& a (piggyback chip,plugged into the stock ecu.)
car was a monster,i would destroy stick vettes(stock) & even romped a grand national*(that was the fastest car in production)
With more airflow *(vvel loves more airflow) & more fuel*(dont think the extra fuel helps without adjusting the timing.)
just my .02 cents.

I did have a peak inside. It was very dark in there and hard to see but from what I remember, it is basically the same as the VQ35de plenum. It is one big chamber with 6 intake runners, so air pressure should equilibrate evently. Not 100% sure tho.

I would be very very surprised if it is one big air chamber. Usually, these are very complicated with air being ducted all around inside before it gets too the runners. I'm not saying it's not a big chamber, but I am saying I would be real surprised if that's all it is.

This would also be very important for people considering running a wet nitrous system. This is the area where "puddling" becomes an issue.

Someone should make a spacer/nitrous plate to sit atop this.
