safc? can I use it?

Hey I was wondering since all cobb accessport seems to do is adjust a/f ratio would I be able to use SAFC? or some other type of device just to help rejust my ratios, because I seem to be running pretty rich. I have Injen intake, fast intentions HFC and a magnaflow catback and I smell a stong gas smell coming out my exhaust. I doubt the HFC's are bad only put 6000k on them so far.

don't think anyone here has the SAFC. But it doesn't up your RPMs and throttle response like the Cobb AP so fork up the money and don't waste your time on the SAFC.

Super Air Flow Controller - Apexi makes one. It's a piggyback tuning unit that allows you to adjust air / fuel through a sensor on the fly.

I wouldn't recommend trying to use an SAFC on our cars. I've used one on another car several years ago and while it did work, it is kind of a crude way of just fooling the stock ecu to add/remove fuel by modifying the signal. Plus this type of device isn't really plug and play, had to do a bunch of splicing into the ecu harness, that just opens up the possibility of wiring problems, etc.

It's jut not worth risking your engine to this type of piggyback fuel controller IMHO. I'd rather go with a proven device like the Cobb Accessport that plugs in and flashes the ecu with modified fuel maps. This way you don't have to rely upon something piggybacked into your ecu, the Accessport flash is permanent unless you want to flash it back.
