6MT tranny = toast
6MT tranny = toast
Well it took getting the lead tech to take a ride with me, but I finally got them to agree that my 2nd gear synchro is probably floating around the tranny case in the form of brass shards. Quote the tech: "oh i felt that" and "oh that's bad". I tach'd it over in 1st gear two times and it crunched BAD each time (yes I know how to drive). I have an appointment Wednesday for engineering to "evaluate" it. Bottom line: I believe a new transmission is in my future.
Dealer also agreed to replace driver's headlight for the "exterior lamp fogging" TSB. They wouldn't confirm that the headlight leaked at first, so i had to go home, spray it with the hose, then drive it back and let them look. 2 minutes later: "when would you like to setup an appointment for us to replace your headlight sir?"
Orlando Infiniti BTW. Not bad service overall, but you do have to put some effort in to get something fixed under warranty it seems.
