You can probably check out the manual here on the Infiniti website at: http://www.infiniti.ca/en/general/ow...ls/default.asp

^ OP is asking about transmission fluid, not engine oil.

The auto trans fluid cannot be easily checked as on other cars. The manual says it's recommended to bring it to the dealer for checking.

Even on the service manual for the older 5AT the dipstick is not clearly identified but in the exploded view it's on the passenger front side of the transmission housing.

I just went outside and checked my car - there's nothing visible towards the rear of the engine where it would be located and there's not much space there.

I read the post and saw he was talking about the auto trans fluid but then he asked for the dipstick so those two pics are the only ones I could get that would clearly show it if he needs the dipstick.

yes, I am asking about the location of the dipstick tube so i can check the fluid level of the auto transmission. I have an 06 g35 5at as well and its location isnt marked well either but it is located in the back middle of the engine bay against the firewall. also its dipstick is bolted down. i looked in the same place on my g37 but didnt see anything noticeable. i wanted to see if anyone here knew for sure before i removed the engine cover and all that stuff.

7AT has no dipstick. This transmission has a special refill procedure and also requires Matic S and nothing else. Not even the old Matic J.
