2.5 is better than nothing but I doubt it would even produce that much. Looks like a new version of the tornado.

No dumba$$ you have to install the optional solar panels on your roof to offset the extra power needed for these bad boys.

I know nothing about these mods. If I want to spend no more than $500, is there anything I can get that is worth doing that will have an effect on HP?

yes, berks HFC is close to 500....used ones are good too

intakes also...used arent bad either

Intakes, exaust (axle back), and HFC can all be had for less than $500. If you do decide to go the "electric supercharger" route, let us know so we can BAN you.

These probably just allow your VTECH to kick in sooner, yo

Found this in their FAQs to be pretty funny.

Will it void my warranty?

No! This part can be installed and removed usually within 30 minutes or less. It also will not void your warranty because by law your dealer cannot void warranties because of installed aftermarket products.
