So are you saying Cobb is a waste of time the the stock ECU does better with your mods?

I had cobb installed with stage 2 map, but for some reason the car responded much better with the stock map.

1st pull 310WHP.
2nd pull 305WHP.
3RD PULL 308WHP.

AFTER REMOVING COBB STAGE 2 & REINSTALLING BACK TO STOCK MAP.

1ST PULL 318WHP
2ND PULL 315WHP.
3RD PULL 325WHP.

he may have developed less peak power but was there more power and torque under the curve with the cobb map? because that would be better.

Exhaust length might be different, the bends might not be identical, and the location of sensors might not be identical. Also, their calibration and readings might not be the same due to very slight differences in the exhaust. Same with their headers, cats, mufflers, etc. While I think most of the parts may be very similar, if they arent identical, they can produce slightly different results.

You arent rambling. I think I even read an article about a company who was designing a complete aftermarket exhaust, from headers back, and depending on where the placed the Y pipe downstream from the headers produced significant differences in whp.
