i want to disconnect the negitive terminal of the battery, so i could reset the ecu, im just worried that i would get shocked lol, will i? ill be using a rachet?
No, you won't be shocked.....as long as you're not touching the positive terminal at the same time, but there's NO reason that you should be. You CAN use the small little wrench that's with your lug wrench and jack extension bar that's with your spare tire. It's the little wrench that's smaller than a toothbrush. You'll find that wrench fits the nut on the battery terminal perfectly....i've already used it numerous times. You'll be fine bro.
what I learned in my Physics class in 9th grade was to stand on to glass cup serparting yourself from the ground and you could touch any thing and not get shocked.

Having disconnected the battery more times than most, I can completely assure you you won't get electrically shocked. Use a deep 10mm socket. However, like KnoxvilleG37 correctly stated, DO NOT touch both terminals at once with anything metal like a wrench or ratchet or there will be fireworks.
i did this today to my wifes solstice.... she didn't tighten the gas cap and the service engine light came on..... disconnected the battery for 10 minutes (just the red positive cable) and wa-la.... light was gone
