LOL! The possibility that I need a driving lesson has not been lost on me. This is the first AT car I have ever owned. It was those paddle shifters that sucked me in... Don't know what to say other than the throttle just feels very sluggish from a stop. The car feels pretty torquey once I get it launched, it's just getting out of the hole where it seems weak.

I got a grounding kit a few months ago. I guess what I was looking for from you dudes is someone with a similar experience and what they did, if anything, to "fix" it. Like I said before, I've been leaning towards the Cobb AP, but that is significant $$. I'm not too sure if there is any shop around my location (Huntsville, AL) that can tune the car. I could ping the dealer and see what they say. The Cobb seems like a potential solution. What do you Cobb AP owners have to say??

it seems like your really wanting to get the cobb ap but its too much money. i got one for sale barely used. i sold the G so thats the reason for selling these parts. I also have the stillen gen 3 intakes which are proven to make power through out the whole rpm range.

thread for cobb ap for sale: https://www.myg37.com/forums/interio...-for-sale.html

thread for stillen gen 3 intakes for sale: https://www.myg37.com/forums/engine-...e-intakes.html

PM me if your interested in either.

+1

I would recommend either the Intake scoops or the Status Elite intakes. One will be aesthetically neutral, getting you +30 to 50 whp, the other will be a panty dropper intake with an also astonishing +20whp. You get what you pay for.

A grounding kit will NOT make any low end torque. Mine nor anyone else's. That's not what they are for.

I have been there and done that. All bolts on. Cobb AP done. Seriously I agree with Pearl. I feel the power on high end definately. Just messing around I can hit 120 in one of the smallest bridges down here chilling... Im running Stage 2 because is more richer than Stage2+ dyno proven.

Yeah, the paddle shifters sound cool in theory, but it's not a replacement for the 6mt.

I don't want to get into the 6mt>5at debate, but this is one of the main reasons I got a 6mt.

understood. I went with that to hopefully improve the shift delay.

Unfortunately, I am a Mac user, I don't own a PC, and I don't think Cobb has software for the Mac.

It's true, if you like to burn rubber, should have stuck with the MT. I have even been considering trading in and getting a 09 6MT. I'd be taking it in the shorts though - trade in value is supposedly around $33K.

IMO, if you like to tinker with your car as a hobby then mods can satisfy that need. Otherwise, save your money and leave the car stock. Spending all that cash and chancing voiding your warranty for a minimal and sometimes non-existent hp gain that you’ll never notice anyway, doesn’t seem to be worth it.

If you want power, buy an e30 M3 and turbo it. You can have a 12 sec car for under 10g's.
