He doesn't want the whole GT-R. He just wants the engine out of a totalled one.

And to the OP, you should start calling around some shops that specialize in VQ's and GT-R's while you're negotiating over the engine and see what they think. Like most others have said, it can probably be done, it just may take a lot of time, money, and headaches to get it done. I've been asking around about swapping in an LS7 and only found one place willing to do it, so I'm in negotiations with them. Forged and GTM both recommended that I just turbo it and call it a day, everyone seems kinda scared of swaps and would prefer FI. It would definitely be freaking sick if you did it though. Ask around and maybe a shop would even sponsor you to do it and be the only G37 with the GT-R engine. Worth a try. Let us know how it goes.

As I said.. You wont be buying a GTR in ANY (ANY includes totalled) condition for $5000.

Please tell me and the rest of the forum your really not considering putting a Corvette motor in an Infiniti. If you do, your Infinifi ownership should be revoked.

I did.. three times now. Maybe Im not speaking clear english.

Lets try again. A $5000 BIN for the car on ebay is FAR from what the owner will let it go for (If I were guessing). A $15000 or $20000 may take it, but NOT $5000.

Was that more clear?
