Custom tune is always gonna be better. But once you install something else in your car it'll be useless. AFR might be different on each car.

but i dont mean a custom tune .. i mean a custom map ..

i hear that you can datalog your car and send cobb your AP and 175 bucks and they make a map for your car and mods .. with the info that is on the cobb that you logged..

is that true ?

Custom map = custom tune. And yes there are COBB certified shops all over Florida but none of em got the software.

Stage 2+ dyno

here's a comparasion of stage2+ and stage2 tuned to use 93 octane by Cobb of Plano. I was surprised because the car felt stronger on the 2+ map. You can see it runs rich but thats not a big deal. Rich is better than lean I'm going to run the stage 2 93 octane until I get headers than to Cobb for a custom tune. I posted some stats in the Cobb thread if anyones interested

modified Injen cai, stillen wires, lightened pulley, F.I. hfc's and exhaust along with JWT flywheel clutch combo. Waiting for a good header. Remember, the dyno's a 4wheel drive and reads about 10% low compared to other dyno's When I'm all finished I'll get a dyno somewhere else for a comparison

Click on the dyno when the new page comes up click again to zoom move to the bottom and it's all right there. The broken line is the stage 2 Cobb tuned to 93 octane. The tune gave me 12whp and 12lb torque. Except for the rich AFR the stage 2+ did almost as well as the Cobb tune. When I went to Cobb the Stage2+ wasn't out yet hence the 93 octane tune.

So these gains are just from flashing Stage2+ or custom map?
