Weird sound when clutch is out (video)

My car has 6,100 miles on it, and i just noticed this today for the first time.. I've always though this 6MT tranny has been pretty crummy, but what do you think make of this?

Im going to take it in next week to have Inifinti take a look at it, but im sure they will just try to tell me its normal like they do with everything. Any ideas what this could be?

Here is a video of what im talking about..

any thoughts guys?

Most likely they will just tell you it's normal, nothing's wrong, or it's just a characteristic of the car. A lot of us have that noise.

I'd still give it a shot though, bring it in. Just don't say "well, I read on the interwebs that this noise means I get a new tranny, kthxbai" otherwise they'll just discredit your case.

I think 1 or 2 people here have gotten a new clutch or something replaced because their dealerships were nice.

Dang. Sounds like the dual disk clutch in some of my buddy's trucks. If mine starts making that racket I'm taking it in to be replaced.

I have this noise as well. Used to have a 335i Sedan and it also had the same noise.

Looks like it has something to do with the flywheel and clutch combo on beefier 6 speed transmissions..
