hey,

i just noticed that my engine makes a whining noise, when in DS mode or triptronic mode, is this normal? and its only mostly when i shift from 1st to 2nd, i shift at around 4500 rpm, should i be concerned? and take it to the dealership?

anyone? i read somwhere that someone got their tranny replaced due to this?

 

I never had that when I had mine and I drove in DS 90% of the time

 

Whining like it's not getting gas?

 

if it sounds serious, have the dealer check it out under warranty.

i had the same problem with mine... then after the whining it ****s hard into 2nd gear... took it into infiniti and it took them 2 weeks to say that they coulndnt find anything wrong with the car or the trans... they just said to monitor the noise and bring back in if it happens again... so far so good... and my cars only got 3,000 miles on it... ?

you should take it to the dealer ! let us know how that goes...

 

It could be the pipes from your hks rattling. Does it sound like air escaping?

 

nope defin not the hks, its a whining noise coming from the engine area
