I would buy a G37 tomorrow if....

someone would hurry up and release a CARB approved supercharger kit.. GTM/HKS, Vortech, etc - got anything coming out soon?

I'm not willing to step down in power from our supercharged 350z nor play the SMOG games with a turbo solution.. With the 370z coming soon with a nearly identical setup, someone must have a kit at least on the drawing board?

If no one wanted to live here, there wouldn't be enough cars to have a Smog problem. Catch-22..

You can get around the Smog issue.

Already stated, don't want to play the games.. Hoping to not get pulled over and have the COP pull a visual inspection.. I don't have the spare time to hassle with such things.

Stillen is likely working on it.

Not interested in any roots type offering. Hate the hood bulge and the poor performance/price ratio.

They said they're working on the hood bulge. And I think it was Josh that said that the engine sits higher so they siad that the hood bulge wasn't the route to go.

supercharger kits will come around eventually, it's just not economically feasible for companies to produce them right now. Maybe once the 370Z comes out and in a year or two when there are a lot more G37's on the road.

I would disagree with you - there is a huge advantage in being first to market. Now that there are flash devices like the Accessport, a piggyback ECU like the slit second box probably isn't needed either. So Vortech just needs to take an off the shelf V3 supercharger and fashion the brackets and tubing. Then take the time to work out a safe map for the flash.. Document and ship.

And for the Cali love - apply for and get CARB certification.
