What will a TT G37 get, mid-4's? The GT-R Transmission, launch control, and ATTESA--among many other things--will kick any G's ***.

Don't get me wrong, a TT G37 is great, and it's still much cheaper (and to some a much better deal) than a GT-R. I'm even considering doing it to mine some time in the next few years once I can afford it. But the two cars just can't really compare.
It also loses its warranty in 3.2 seconds and you get slapped in the face and have to cough up 20k for a new tranny/rear end.

Exactly...from a roll in a straight line, the G37 TT is going to crush a stock GTR no question about it. On a circuit course, or in the twisties, the GTR is going to crush the G37. But put two excellent drivers behind the wheel of a bone stock GTR, vs. a nicely track prepped G37 TT, and the G37 TT will turn faster lap times.

For what it's worth, at VIR two weeks ago during our last Time Attack event, my lap times on my 350Z TT were 7 seconds faster than the bone stock GTR. Granted, my car is pretty nicely race prepped, and running stickier tires, so it wasn't a totally fair comparison. But on the other hand, I was only running 400whp to the ground. But 7 seconds is an enternity in circuit course racing.

If anyone wants to loan me their GTR...I would be happy to conduct a back to back test.

Looking at getting a 370Z shop car?

Can't see how you wouldn't, with less weight, better handling and the 3.7 ready to play with... it's a no-brainer.

It's shaping up quite nicely. Thank goodness they've decided to make it smaller, not continue to make it bigger. About time.

It will be interesting to see how much room is in that engine bay...
