I don't know $h*% about engines so here goes another question. Does anybody have some educated input on how cams would benefit our engines? How would cams affect HP and TQ??

 

Just to make sure you are talking about cams and not cam gears, right?

 

im sure it is cams.. Someone said they will not work on our car because of the VVEL?

Cams for the G37 are next in line from JWT. They are finishing cams for the HR motors, so these will be out in the near future.

Could be anywhere from $750 to $2,400... Depending on the grind... Still verifying though...

James I have a buddy who can hook you up with some custom-ground cams... He's checking to see if they've already sized up the stock cams... If not, then they'd need all 4 of your stockers to work off of... Gimme a call tomorrow if you're interested... I'm thinkin bout doin this too... Not too sure how long it'll take to size the stocks though...

 

Are you certain about this? How/why would you make a cam for a car that has VVEL which has servos to adjust valve timing?

 

Cams are useless unless you have the proper flash to go with them and or any type of reliable engine management for fuel and ignition timing to take advantage of this kind of upgrade. until then they will be just a pile of metal. look to management options from uprev, cobb, utec, and technosquare. but the first 1 are still to come out and will be real user friendly, so harass them just like everyone else to hurry up and finish their ish!!
