[V]HR Stillen Headers

Well, I don't know if I should post this here or at G35driver or both, but a member at my350z has ordered the Stillen headers and has recently got them installed. He is going to get another dyno done in about 10 days, but just in case all of you guys were curious as to see if these headers actually did something or not, just take a look at the VQ35HR section of the my350z forum. The person doing this, his name is A.H. I know that the HR and the VHR are different, but maybe this will aid VHR owners, if no one has done this yet.

Anyways, just thought I would keep you guys informed.

I thought a member here installed the headers and did a before after dyno already. Got like 5 to 10HP if I remember right.

Yeah, somebody did install them already on the G37 but I forgot what the outcome was.

Just for reference, here's how the headers did on a DE engine: http://www.g35driver.com/forums/tune...dyno-test.html

Different headers, but good to know in comparison. From what I've heard, the stock headers on the HR and VHR engines are already pretty good, so the gains would be miniscule, if any. We have a member trying it out, as none of us have heard anyone do it. I did a little searching here and did find someone who had installed these headers. However, he didn't provide much information. From that, I thought I would let you guys know.

Right now the person who had installed the headers yesterday, tookdown a baseline dyno for the install of 293.2 WHP and 247.3 WTQ. The current mods are: Injen dual intake, Fast Intentions Intimidator, Fast Intentions Reasonated Test Pipes, Stock ECU.

Prior to this dyno, he had 295.9 WHP and 258.0 WTQ with these mods: Stillen long tube dual intake, Fast INtentions Dual 3inch Dominator, Fast Intentions Reasonated Test Pipes, Reflashed ECU (gained 17whp from reflash)

Those numbers are from an '07 Z, right? Do you know if anyone is trying this with a G37?

Yes they are from an '07 Z. Whether someone is doing the same thing on the G37, I do not know. I've heard on these forums that someone has in fact, installed them on their G. However, I was unable to find results or opinions on whether the headers had helped or not.

Just to clarify, I am not doing this to my Z. A fellow my350z member, A.H., is attempting this in order to help us all whether these headers are beneficial or not. All the dynos are his results.

Thanks.

I ordered the ceramic stillen headers and cats Monday and should be recieving them tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have time during the weekend to put them on. I doubt I'll get it dynoed but I'll let you know if there is a noticable difference other than just the sound.

I think it is AZg35 (or something like that) that has them on this forum.

I have the Stillen headers on my G37 and they are a great mod. Unfortunately I only have a dyno of them with my cat-back and HFC's on as well, so no solid numbers for just the headers, but with Stillen headers, Stillen cat-back and Berk HFC's I saw a gain of 25 hp and 17tq on the dyno. The headers seemed to help out throughout the entire powerband also, not just mid and high rpm range. I was very happy with the purchase, and recommend this mod to anyone who is on the fence.

Here's a pic of our stock G37 header, compared to Stillen's you can see the improvement.
