Dealer Install

So i finally got my parents to agree to buy/let me buy intake/exhaust.

only 1 condition.. the dealership has to agree to install it.

does anybody know if any dealership will install after market parts?

Man I would love to have been in the kitchen for this justification session... either your parents are pushovers or you've got Lawyer potential . Did you give them the Gas mileage story or enslave yourself for a year...lol?

My dealer sells Stillen products btw so I'd bet most would. I imagine they'd warrenty the labor, but modding the car would still have an effect on your warrenty. Even if they install it, it doesn't imply your warrenty wouldn't be voided. I would think they'd need to certify the aftermarket product in some manner for that. I'd get that defined by the dealer.

I am not sure his parents are aware of the fact that if he installs the aftermarket parts, it will void that part in warranty.

What did you tell your parents exactly? lol

i dont know what suddenly made them change their minds.. i had been talking about wanting to get mods (wheels/intake/exhaust/springs) and until today they always said no.. i guess maybe cus its my birthday so they decided to soften up?

the big thing they had against mods was the warranty issues.. but i thought the warranty was only voided if the aftermarket part was determined to cause the problem?

yup warranty is voided if it's proven to make the thing that's under warranty fail, to fail

don't worry about it though, for the mods you're doing, warranty shouldn't be a problem

My dealership put on my Fast Intentions Intimidator.
(In fact they were drooling all over it when they saw it)
They didn't have any problems with installing it, and told me they put on after market exhausts fairly regularly.

Based on my past experiences you really shouldn't have a hard time finding a STEALER to do your installs. Just give them a call and simply ask.

If anything, Stillen is what they'll probably install.

Some dealers are mod friendly and will install aftermarket parts... others frown upon it and will give you a hard time. Worth a shot!
