Well I took my G in for service today and brought the noise that all of use been hearing when the clutch is released and it goes away when u push it in to the service advisor, the advisor said its definately not normal. I have also been getting a rattling noise coming from the transmission at shutoff. Hopefully all this gets addressed, has anyone taken their G for the same noise?
whoa, you are ones of the lucky ones. i have the same problem with the clutch. when i bought it in, the service manager says it was normal for all infinitis. what a bs statement he made. i need to bring the car in again, school and other things are making it hard to do so.
I think everyonje with MT has this sound and I had it on my G35. I was told that is a normal sound for a 2 piece flywheel. Although a few people on here were able to get their service advisor to adrress the issue so I dont what the deal really is.
Well just as I suspected, they said its normal! But one thing that bothered me was that they said my drain plug on my tranny was loose and i was missing 1 quart!!!!
I've heard the 350z, G35, and my car. They all do it, it is normal and I've heard the detailed explanation on why it makes that noise too. From what I've heard the flywheel is considered two-mass aka dual mass.
I've been noticing this sound a lot more recently. I even began to think something was wrong with my car because I didn't remember hearing this sound on the test car i drove. Sort of makes me feel better that the Z's and the G35's also make this sound, and apparently is something normal.
