Tranny noise might be addressed

Well I took my G in for service today and brought the noise that all of use been hearing when the clutch is released and it goes away when u push it in to the service advisor, the advisor said its definately not normal. I have also been getting a rattling noise coming from the transmission at shutoff. Hopefully all this gets addressed, has anyone taken their G for the same noise?

i don't have much hope you're going to get this resolved. my g35 did it, and so does my g37. it is normal.

I think everyonje with MT has this sound and I had it on my G35. I was told that is a normal sound for a 2 piece flywheel. Although a few people on here were able to get their service advisor to adrress the issue so I dont what the deal really is.

My car also has a nasty rattle when I turn the car off, sometimes I push the clutch in to turn if off so I don't hear the noise.

I've heard the 350z, G35, and my car. They all do it, it is normal and I've heard the detailed explanation on why it makes that noise too. From what I've heard the flywheel is considered two-mass aka dual mass.

Don't we all step on the clutch to turn the car off? I alwasy put it in 1st, pull the parking brake then turn it off.

Hmm I usually turn the car off in N, then throw in the clutch and put it in first after the car is off. Is that bad for the car????

I've been noticing this sound a lot more recently. I even began to think something was wrong with my car because I didn't remember hearing this sound on the test car i drove. Sort of makes me feel better that the Z's and the G35's also make this sound, and apparently is something normal.
