Talked to Andy today at HP here in AZ while picking up my JWT intake. UR is claiming there is a "break in" period with this mod, i guess the ecu doesn't recognize the new pulley right away. They say after a couple thousand miles we should see 12-16 HP gain from this thing!!! Woot woot!!
Old pulley is like 8.5 lbs and new one is 1.5lbs. i'm super excited to get this thing on!!

few 1000 miles????? huh?? lol...tahts not a break in thats a robbery of mileage!! haha...i can see a few hundred miles so the computer can relearn itself....

....Hmmm, I'd be interested to see how the ECU compensates for a pulley. I'm not raising the BS flag quite yet because although very unlikely, it would theoretically be possible to adjust for less rotational resistance, but again I doubt the ECU has that level of programming because its not a variable that should change. Who knows though, maybe it does, that would be pretty sweet. So if I hit the gym extra hard and shed a few extra lbs, will I see gains in a few weeks after the ECU realizes my *** isn't as fat? 

I believe Andy said they told him 10,000 miles break in period. They said they dynoed the car and saw like 5 to 7 hp, then when they dynoed the same car after 10,000 miles they saw like 9 more hp, nothing else changed. I'm not 100% about this, this is what the UR guys told Andy, but Andy also said he saw like a 19hp increase on one of his own rides with a UR set-up installed. When I install it, I'll do a dyno to see what immediate increase it gives, since i got a base dyno done last Friday.

Got mine
received mine from UR today. Part of the break in period may have something to do with the new pulley wearing to the belt. In other words smoothing out the pulley so it doesn't damage your belt. Just a thought. Wonder, if anyone's going to do a DIY? Next for me a lightened flywheel and clutch from JWT. Had that on another car and it made a big difference.
