Car Dyno'd today

6MT FI Exhaust - FI HFC's

Took the car today to get dyno'd. Wanted to know where I stood before the Injens get put on.

3 pulls in 4th gear.
I only have the sheet with the last 2 pulls on it. Forgot to grab the other one with all three. Also printed out is the Air fuel Ratio.

So here are the numbers.
First pull: 253.6 HP 210 TQ 7.0 RPMs
Second pull: 252.0 209 TQ 7.5 RPMs

Kinda seems low. Is that due to doing the pulls in 4th gear and not 5th?

These numbers are fine. Remember that different dynos give different readings. This is just a baseline which she will use to see what the increase in power from the CAI is when she gets it. As long as the shop doesn't change settings and she goes to the same shop on the same dyno the numbers should be good.

And dynos are usually done in 4th gear on our cars. 4th should give you a little increase in HP/TQ numbers (not much). As long as the other dynos she does are in 4th then this is not an issue.

Looking at the gear ratio, it states that 5th gear is 1:1 So is it 4th or 5th. ??

Ya, 5th is 1:1 which is were you want to do a dyno for it to be as accurate as possible but it is not good for our cars according to the dyno tech I talked to. He said it put more stain on the engine and didn't recommend it until I get more power in the car.

Interested to see if you gain anything from intake. I know several people who would dyno, bolt on some mods and have at it again only to find they lost hp/tq. Hope that's not the case for the Gs

For a car with 330 at the crank 250ish at the wheels doesn't seem very good. I was expecting around 280 to the wheels.

It would probably be some where in that vicinity if I did the pulls in 5th gear. Thinking about redoing it in 5th. we'll see what happens.

if it would have been on a dyno jet you would get those number, every dyno is different on how it reads the hp/tq

We'll see if the gains are what they are saying with the intakes. Just waiting for them to come in. I don't really know about 14 hp gain with the intakes, but hopefully close to it. Only time will tell.
