Here's a crappy iPhone pic of my dyno. It baselined at 278 but the torque was way lower than what you got (And yes, the red line is with the Injen intakes..)

Well, considering how well the car has been engineered from the start, why mess with (near) perfection? A lot of times mods and aftermarket parts offer little gains in overall performance....

(Not that I'm against mods mind you; it's just that I've seen a lot of people pay a lot of $$$ for something that is little more than hype.... )

Exactly. People buy stuff in order to feel good, hence why grounding kits and other trinkets are such amazing money makers for parts vendors.

Um... did I miss something?

JanSolo in your first post you said you wanted to show off your, "shiny new red G37S"

But then in post #5 you say you wish you would have bought the 6MT.

Um... the G37S is the 6MT.

So what am I missing here....

I have a G37 with a 5AT and a sports package and the logo on the back of my car says G37S. You can always argue with Infiniti on why they chose to put the G37S logo on my car if you'd like.

You may have made the right decision though JAN. There are days with the constant stop and go traffic that I wish I done exactly what you did....

I'll find out if I made the right decision when I take it to Infineon in a few weeks.
