It's behind the glove box for the sedan... so I'd think that it'd be the same for the coupe as well.

BTW, it's pretty big in size...

G37 ECU is located below the passenger side airbag, behind the plastic cover (knee area), close to the firewall. it is held in a vertical position, with the access to the wire clips, facing down toward the floor.
there are three black plastic clips that attach the car's ECU wiring harness to it. (you have to pull a level for the clips to disengage.)

you must first remove the side paneling next to the door jam, then the plastic cover above the knee. most likely with a phillips head screwdriver tool.

you'll need a pivot jointed attachment for your 10mm Deep sockets. there are four bolts that hold the ECU bracket to the firewall. and if i remember correctly. 4 screws that hold the ecu to the bracket.

to remove the ecu bracket, there are two bolts are easy to get to down low, two are a little harder... one is up high behind a clip (a ratcheting wrench would be best here), the other is on the firewall side (nut), but if you have extension pieces, its not that bad-. you may have to unhook some clips to get the ecu with bracket assembly out of the car.

took me about 30-45 minutes the first time doing it on the G37S beta tester.
