I went in with the computer saying I was 23 kilometers to empty on my first ever tank of gas and only put in 67 litres, which is just over 17.5 gallons on a 20 gallon tank...is this normal?

I got 535 kilometers on my first tank which is 19.3 mpg, 80% city...pretty good!

The trip computer is a little conservative when it comes to the miles until empty screen so it's totally normal.

I think it's normal depending on how sensibly you drive. Our tank is 20 gallons. I have run the car well beyond the point where Distance to Empty shows ---; as far as I dared. The most I have been able to get in the car during a completely empth fill up is aobut 18.1 gallons. There is a pretty good reserve built into the computer system to ensure that you don't run out by relying on the DTE reading. I'd say the reserve is about 2 - 2.5 gallons.

19+ MPG in mostly city driving is great. I drove with the cruise control set at 70 MPH today for 35 miles and got 27 MPG on that stretch but it was 100% highway cruising. Setting the cruise control does wonders for mileage especially if you have the intelligent cruise option.

Your metric system doesn't work with us, US G37 owners, I don't want to find the conversion table.

Oh...

Cool, thanks guys!

It was a nice suprise whne I only put in 17 gallons when I thought it would have been 19.

Some companies are quite excessive with their reserves, I guess Infiniti doesn't beleive we will fill up so they make it idiot proof.
