You could always unplug the #3 & 6 spark plug wires .... then you have a fuel efficient 4 banger.

a well designed intake so the motor breathes better such as the Injen combined with synthetic oil changes is a pretty good combo. I have heard good intakes, all else equal (assuming you still drive as if you did NOT have the intake), should raise the mpg by .75-1.5 mpg.....

These G37s get about 13.4 mpg tops! Its a shame they post 18 city , because that's crap! The best advice i can give, is to buy a hoopty (use car !) to do your daily driving ! I have a 4cyl subaru and drive that 5 days a week and push my G friday, sat. , or sunday!

Sorry but you can get 18 if you drive the right way. You have to drive like a grandma though to do it. And the thing to keep in mind is that manufactures like to round up and will give you the best possible you will get in the city. All of them do this because it makes the car look better. I am sure everyone of you have rounded up or down to make something look better. How much money do you make? 66000 in reality but you would say 70000. How much do you weight? (girl who is 135lbs says 125lbs, guy who is 150lbs says 160lbs). A girl asks how big your manhood is? We will stop there...lol But you get the idea. BTW I have gotten 18mpg in the city for the first 20 miles on a new tank of gas but then I had to drive aggressively.

not to break thread manners but how in the world does someone buy this car and not drive it every chance they get?! the only time i drive my truck is to park in next to the G so no one else can park next to it!
back to thread
i have noticed that the puter in the car is not as accurate when it comes to average the mpg. the best thing to do IMHO is to keep records when u fill up. I use my pda and track how much gas, price, mpg, how often i fill up blah blah and this by far seems more accurate because you will know what the average is everytime you fill up and you will be able to track the progression during the life of the car/engine instead of the overall average. someone correct me if i am wrong tho..
